Sterling (Tobe) R. Loveland

Born in Nampa, Idaho, August 5, 1929. Died in Woodinville, Washington, January 4, 2013.  Tobe graduated from Franklin High School in 1947, Boise, Idaho. He was an Allstar football player at Boise Jr. College. He married Elsie Jones, May 20, 1949.

 

Tobe started his career in 1949 with Albertson’s at the ice cream plant in Boise.   He ended his career as Senior Vice President with Albertson’s at the age of 55. He and Elsie spent their retirement boating in the San Juan Island’s and playing golf as snowbirds in the Palm Springs, California area.  They also enjoyed traveling worldwide with their friends and spending time with their family at their cabin in Leavenworth, Washington.

 

Tobe is survived by his wife, Elsie, three daughters—Julie Nelson, Jeri Loveland, Karen Dickey and one son—Sterling (Butch) Loveland. Also his eight grandchildren—Kristine and Andrew Nelson, Eric and Mark Christiansen, Sterling Loveland and Breann Valdez, Troy Bannister and Ross Linder.  He is also survived by his three great grandchildren.

 

Services will be held at Washington Cathedral in Redmond, Friday, January 11, 2013, at 2:00 pm followed by a reception at the church.  The address is:  12300 Woodinville Redmond Road NE.
