Shreda Joyce Banks Cooke

Shreda Joyce Banks Cooke was born to the late Ralph and Erma Partrick, a mechanic and a small business owner/homemaker, in Oklahoma on June 1, 1941. Shreda passed away in Kirkwood, Washington on April 1, 2022 after a long bout with cancer. Shreda worked as a bookkeeper in the oil industry.

Shreda was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a widow of James Banks, formerly of Odessa, TX. She had 4 children, Sherill Sanders, Sheree Martin, Stephen Sanders, and Becky Biggerstaff. She had 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Shreda moved to Washington state in her later years where she pursued her passion for gardening and cooking. She thoroughly enjoyed the scenic view of mountains from her back yard. Moving to Washington helped satisfy her love for travel. She watched her great-grandchildren Eden, Elijah and Ethan grow up while nurturing her close relationship to her grandson, Dustin Moore and his wife Christina. Her dogs, Stacy and Bella were highly spoiled and world traveled.

Shreda is survived by her children, Sherill Sanders, Sheree Martin and husband Steven, Stephen Sanders and wife Terry, and Becky Biggerstaff and husband Kenny; grandchildren Anna, Kenny, Henrietta, Leslie, Heather, Randall, Steven, Josh, Jason, Maghan, Tamra, Dwayne, Dustin, Kaliesa, and Rusty; and her sisters Zahndra Adams and Karen Harms. Shreda had 29 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Nita Sanders, her husband, James Banks and her parents.
