Kathleen Mary Autry

Kathleen Mary Autry passed away from natural causes at age 71, days short of her 72nd birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Jack Simpson.

Kathy attended St. Anne’s Catholic School and Holy Names Academy before graduating from Queen Anne High School.  She dedicated more than 40 years of her professional life to Willis Towers Watson in Seattle, where she served as a Vice President. She was especially proud of her work with the small business market, a reflection of her commitment to helping others succeed.

Kathy was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor touched the lives of so many. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved, and she truly was a friend to everyone.

Kathy shared 42 years of marriage with her husband, Claude Autry, Jr. Together, they enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, their favorite vacation destination, as well as visiting family in California and Oregon. Their life together was filled with love, companionship, and countless cherished memories.

Outside of work, Kathy loved to sing, play games, bake, and create special things for the people she loved. She was crafty and enjoyed making thoughtful, handmade gifts that showed just how much she cared. She was also a loyal Seattle sports fan who enjoyed cheering on the Mariners and Seahawks. Whether she was baking something delicious, sharing a laugh over a game, or making something special for a friend or family member, Kathy had a way of turning ordinary moments into treasured memories.

Kathy will be deeply missed by her husband, Claude; her six siblings, Paul Simpson, Joe Simpson, Teresa Bess (Bob), Rose Feeney (Terry), Steve Simpson, and Tim Simpson (Bobbi); her cherished nieces and nephews, Alicia, John (Anna) Sarah (Chris), Bess,  Megan, Jack, Max, Ellery, Olivia, Marley, and Jenn; and her many relatives and dear friends.

Our family would like to thank the Bluebell Adult Family Home and caregivers Sara, Abel & Salai for their wonderful care during Kathy’s last days.
