Beverley Joan LaCasse
Beverley Joan LaCasse was born on May 8, 1935, in North Burnaby, Vancouver, Canada. She passed peacefully on March 28, 2026, in the loving care of her son and daughter-in-law, leaving behind a legacy defined by strength, resilience, and unwavering love.
As a young woman, Beverley moved to Seattle, where she would build the foundation of her life. She married Jack Mosley, and together they welcomed their son, Greg, who remained the center of her world. Later, she found love again and married John LaCasse, with whom she continued her journey.
Beverley was a woman of vision, strength, and loud determination. She began her career in yacht brokerage with Hatteras Yachts, where her intuition, and genuine connection with people set her apart. In 1987, she founded LaCasse Maritime, LLC, a testament to her independence and entrepreneurial spirit. Today, her legacy endures through her son Greg and daughter-in-law Rita, who continue to build on her foundation and guide the business to new heights.
She was, in every sense, a classic beauty—elegant, striking, and truly one of a kind. Beverley had a commanding presence, defined by a rare combination of strength, conviction, and grace. She lived boldly and authentically, never afraid to speak her mind, stand her ground, or pursue what she believed was right. She approached life with intensity and purpose.
Yet beyond her strength was a deeply loving heart. Beverley found joy in—tending her garden, staying active, savoring her daily Starbucks, and, most importantly, spending time with her family. She was fiercely protective of those she loved, a steadfast advocate, and a loyal friend whose generosity and care knew no limits.
In the later years of her life, she was lovingly cared for by her son Greg and daughter-in-law Rita, whose devotion and compassion brought her comfort and peace.
Beverley loved the Fourth of July. Though Canadian by birth, her patriotism often outshone that of many Americans. Each year, she gathered friends and family at her Hansville beachfront home to celebrate the red, white, and blue—a tradition she cherished.
She is lovingly remembered by her beloved son, Greg Mosley, and his wife, Rita; her sister, Fran Scott; her niece, Kristina, and her husband, Paul Svenkerud, and their children, Soren and Frances; her nephew, Nathan Scott; her niece, Camielle, and her husband, Howie, and their children, Calvin, Fraser, and Emma; and her niece, Janine, and her husband, Kevin, and their children, Chelsie and Alex.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Madeline Scott, and her brothers, Walter and Don Scott and great nephew Austen.
Beverley will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved. Her strength, spirit, and love will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
