Meredith Rose Piro

Meredith Rose Piro passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by loving family and friends.

Meredith was born on June 29, 1979 in Bellevue, WA to Jerry & Mary Ellen Piro.

She was a 1997 graduate of Bellevue High School. In 2001, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management from Central Washington University.

After graduating from CWU, Meredith worked for Pacific Capital Resource Group for 2 1/2 years. Beginning in October of 2003, she began working for PACCAR. Throughout her 20 years with the company, she worked in a variety of positions. At the time of her passing, she was working as a Product Support Training Manager for PACCAR’s Peterbilt Motors Company.

Meredith is survived by her Mom, Mary Ellen, sister Teresa (Dave), brothers, Mark (Huilun), and Evan (Amber). Nephews, Baron, Oscar, & Alister. Nieces, Sydney & Alma. Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many dear Friends.  She was known as Auntie to many of her friends’ children..

She was preceded in death by her Dad, Jerry, Grandparents, Walter & Kathryn and Frank & Helene.

Meredith will be dearly missed by family, friends and co-workers.

Our family would like to thank Meredith’s cancer care teams/staff at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, University of Washington Medical Center, & Harborview Hospital. A very special thank you to Dr. Elena Gabriela Chiorean. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael L. Gilbert & Dr. Virginia Henderson at Northwest Vision Institute. We are grateful for the loving care & support that Meredith & our family received from EvergreenHealth Hospice Care.

Since Meredith was showered with love during the weeks prior to her passing, she asked for no memorial service, so please toast to her and honor her beautiful life in your own special way.
