
Laurel Krueger
Laurel Krueger, 80, died at Evergreen Hospice Center in Kirkland, WA on October 3, 2025.
Laurel’s family is grateful for the staff who cared for her and helped keep her comfortable at home and during her stay in hospice. Her passing was peaceful and she was surrounded by people whom she loved.
Laurel was born Laurel ‘Saieko’ Matooka October 12, 1944 to parents ‘Tod’ Tadashi Matooka and ‘Mabel’ Miyo Gentry (née Imatani) in Sedgwick, Colorado. She was the third of six children. She lived in many different places throughout her life. Her favorites were RAF Lakenheath, England where she graduated high school, and Redmond, Washington where she lived for
55 years. For 30 years, she worked for the Social Security Administration in Seattle and Yakima.
Laurel will be remembered for her passion for quilting, needlework, crafting, and taking loving care of her family.
She is survived by her two children, Christopher and Nancy Krueger, and her two granddaughters Sydney and Sky Krueger.
No services will be held.
