Larry Dillon

Larry Dillon

May 15, 1963 to January 13, 2011

Gerald Lawrence Dillon, known to his family and friends as Larry, was taken unexpectedly into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 13th. Warm, friendly and unfailingly courteous, Larry was a man who was deeply committed to his friends and family.

A plumber by trade and a mechanic & handyman by hobby, Larry loved cars and motorcycles. In his younger days, Larry was a regular terror on the coal piles at Cle Elum and with his motorcycle was fearless of the steepest, highest hills to be found. As age and wisdom set in, he turned his attention to cars and was particularly enamored with large amounts of horsepower.

Larry was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, shooting and snowmobiling. He was also an avid collector and reader of old books, which gave him ability to speak conversantly and intelligently across a wide range of topics.

For many years, Larry has been the caregiver for his parents, allowing them to live independently at home. His love and faithfulness have known no bounds as he has selflessly provided care, warm humor and companionship. Enough cannot be said about this aspect of Larry.

Larry is survived by his parents, Robert K. Dillon and Geraldine Dillon, his brother Keith (Freddie) Dillon, brother Chris Dillon and sister Kathy (Stan) JauJou. He is also survived by his dog Sara, who was his constant companion and a genuine source of joy in Larry’s daily life.

Larry was a devout Christian and loving of his Lord. Larry will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
