Gene Bolser
Gene Irvin Bolser, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026. Gene was born in Spokane, WA. His family moved to Kirkland, WA when he was a child so his father could take a job working in the shipyards. As an adult, Gene ran his own business, Gene’s Village TV & Appliance, on Main Street in Bellevue. He had two children through his first marriage. After that marriage ended, he met and married Elaine, who had five children from her first marriage. It was obvious to everyone how much Gene and Elaine loved each other, all their children, and later their grandchildren. They were married for 56 years until Elaine passed away in 2023.
In addition to his repair business, he was also a volunteer firefighter for the City of Bellevue WA. In his free time, Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, camping, and fixing things. He had a great mind for mechanics and electronics, and he could figure out how to fix anything. He took regular trips to eastern Washington with friends and family to go hunting, fishing, and ride motorcycles. He even developed the “Bolser 1000,” a group of friends and family who would tour the country on motorcycles together once a year.
Gene was close to his family and cherished his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his steadiness, his loving kindness, his ability to fix anything, and his excellent dad humor. He set a great example for us all of what it means to be a loving father, grandfather, and man.
Gene is deeply mourned by his remaining family, including his son Daniel Bolser; his son Kenneth Bolser and daughter in law Shelley Bolser; daughter Susan Apodaca; son Michael Leslie; son Darrell Leslie and daughter in law Sara Leslie; and grandchildren Dustin Leslie, Jeff Leslie, Jason Leslie, Kari Reyes, David T Leslie, Netsanet Bolser, Dwayne Leslie, Mike Leslie Jr, Kylie Leslie, Vincent Leslie, Valarie Gill, Gina Leslie, Sarah Leslie, Casey Leslie, Benjamin Leslie, and many more through marriage. He will also be missed by everyone who knew him.
We hope that he is now reunited with those he loved who passed away before him, especially his beloved wife, Elaine Bolser.
