Brianna Deja-Marie Metcalf was born Feb. 8, 1998, in Seattle,and passed away suddenly in Seattle on Oct. 26, 2021..
Brianna was the beloved daughter of Anthony (April) Metcalf and Raquel Moore. Brianna is deeply missed by two sisters: Alanna Metcalf and Sasha Hopkins. Several grandparents and step-grandparents were blessed by time spent with Brianna: Theodore and Kathy Metcalf; Eileen and Thomas King; Julie Metcalf-Myles and Leroy Myles; and Jerry and Marie Waterman. One grandparent, Loven Danny Moore, or “Papa” as Brianna called him, passed away in 2015. Brianna is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece, many of whom gathered together for a funeral service at Barton Family Funeral Service in Kirkland on Nov. 4, followed by a burial service at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline. Brianna’s great-uncle, Rev. Dr. Terrance Metcalf, officiated at both services.
Following the graveside service, family and friends participated in a Celebration of Life in honor of Brianna’s too-short life. Spirits of those in attendance were lifted up by many amusing stories from Brianna’s childhood shared in the course of the day on Nov. 4.
