Brenda Elaine Garrett

 October 1, 1959 ––January 6, 2012

Our beloved Brenda passed away to be with her Lord in Heaven on the morning of January 6, 2012 leaving behind her husband Rod of 27 years, and their son Matthew (21) and was preceded in passing by her father Charles, her grandparents and mother in-law Doreen Marchetti. She also leaves behind her mother Anna Puhl, sister Karen (Drew) Clancy, brothers Ken (Barb) Puhl, and Ian (Sherry) Puhl and all their children 2 nieces 4 nephews. In-Laws Ernest and Loretta Garrett, & Sherry and Dave Ellis. Plus additional extended family which includes numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends in the USA and UK.

Brenda had a heart of gold, was as beautiful inside as she was out and a blessing to everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful and devoted wife and mother, daughter and sister. She was always there, above and beyond, for anyone who needed her. She is loved beyond words and will be missed dearly.

Brenda grew up in Edmonds, Washington with her parents and siblings, attended Woodway High School where she was involved in choir and gymnastics, and went on to attend Shoreline Community College. In her high school and college years she also sang with her beautiful voice at her church and performed at weddings.

Brenda most enjoyed the simplest of things. Watching a movie with Rod and Matt, or reading a book, taking late night baths. She also loved sports football, baseball, and basketball. Brenda’s greatest joy was watching Matt play baseball and soccer. She never missed a game, yelling and screaming was her way of cheering for Matt. For many years she was the “team mom” which she took great pride and joy in.

Brenda was strong and courageous up to the end. Rarely complaining about all the pain her fragile body endured.

May we all take comfort in knowing she has gone home to Heaven to be with her Lord, joining her dad and other loved ones who’ve passed on.
