Anna Marie Schmidt

Was born on December 19, 1926.  Died January 16th 2023.  She was the eighth of fourteen children: five brothers and eight sisters. She was raised and worked on the family farm in Linton, North Dakota. When she was in fourth grade, she was sent to work on neighboring farms and got to come home on Sundays to attend church.

Anna met Tony at a church social and dance when he bid on a lunch box she had made. They were married on October 27, 1947. They moved to Bismarck where they started their family, with only a chicken coup and outhouse for living quarters until Tony built the family a new home.

Looking for more opportunities for their family, they moved to Seattle in September 1963. They all packed into a 1954 Ford towing a trailer.

She loved to do jigsaw puzzles, play rummy cube, pinochle and dance. One of her favorite things to do was dance a waltz with Tony. Tony and Anna loved to travel and frequently visited North Dakota. In later years, they traveled to numerous sites in the USA with their kids. They were adventurous and travelled around the world.
