Alan Murray Leinweber

Alan Murray Leinweber was born February 11, 1927 in Calgary,
Alberta, Canada to Henry and Alice Leinweber.
He married Marydell Taylor on February 11, 1956 in Calgary. In
March 1960 they moved to Los Angeles for Murray to attend college.
Their son, Randy, and daughter, Deanna, were born in
California.
He was a very caring, nurturing husband and father. His family
was always his top priority. When the children were small they
enjoyed his tenderness when ill or injured and often called him
"Dr. Dad". Then as teenagers they knew he could be called on to get
a truck pulled out of the creek or help rescue one from a stalled
car by the side of the road. Even as adults they knew they could
always come to him for any help he could provide.
Murray's professional work was electronics where he worked in
Los Angeles, Burbank and Santa Rosa, California. Then in 1975,
Murray and the family were moved to Redmond, Washington, by Bell
Industries, where he worked as Design Engineer, Quality Control
Engineer, then Manufacturing until his retirement in 1991. His
specialty was in the design and manufacture of multi-layered
circuit boards for light panels on aircraft and aerospace
vehicles.
In retirement he was very busy - no couch potato here. He loved
traveling, woodworking, fussing in the yard and any project that
would involve the family.
He is survived by his wife, Marydell, son and daughter-in-law,
Randy and Sharron Leinweber of Sammamish, WA, and daughter and
son-in-law, Deanna and Alex Torres of Woodinville, WA; as well as
two grandsons, Bradley and Andrew Leinweber of Sammamish, WA.
He is also survived by his sister, Verna Snodgrss, and a
sister-in-law, Dorothy Saito; both of Calgary.
