Greta Ellen Marie Rasmussen

Greta Ellen Marie Rasmussen was born on February 3, 1921 in
Arhus, Denmark. At the age of 2 she made the 10 day voyage to
America. She lived a long healthy life and blessed the many people
who were fortunate enough to call her their friend. She loved
sewing, book club, her garden and above all else, her family. On
May 12, 2010 she breathed her last earthly breath and went home to
be with Jesus.
Over the last few years she often told us that when the time
came she was ready to leave this world to make her home in heaven.
She was a beautiful, graceful, intelligent woman. On the whir of a
hummingbirds wings, in the scent of the cedar trees on a warm
summer day, in the laugh of the great grandchildren she leaves
behind, she is remembered and loved. She taught us how to love and
accept, how to appreciate a good book, how to entertain and cook
delicious meals. She was the wife of Robert Logan Prevette and
later in life John Oprea as well as mother to 3 children and Grammy
to 5 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. If she could be
summed up in one word it would be….BEAUTIFUL. To be absent from
her body is to be present with the Lord. We look forward to being
reunited with her again one day.
