Lyle "Pete" Smith

Our beloved father, Papa, uncle and friend passed away May 1
st at his Yuma home after a courageous battle with
cancer.
He was born in Vancouver, WA on December 23, 1927 and was
devoted to his four girls and his wife, Jackie, of 55 years. He
retired from the Rainier Brewery and was a man of many talents. He
loved to garden, entertain, was a prior member of the
Seattle Banjo Band, and the ultimate handyman and carpenter. He
will be dearly missed by his daughters Diane (Jeff) Stites, Laraine
(Mark) Volpe, Deborah Smith and Lisa Marie Smith, and his four
grandchildren.
A celebration of Lyle's life will be on May 14
th at 3:30 p.m. at the Kirkland Womens' Club, 407 1
st St., Kirkland. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations in Lyle's memory to Hospice of Yuma, 1824 S. 8
th Ave., Yuma, AZ 85364.
